Sažetak
Authors research the miniatures in the Missal of Duke Novak: on the f.74v Matthew the Evangelist, on the f.79v Mark the Evangelist, on the f. 84 r Luke the Evangelist, on f. 91r John the Evangelist, on f.158 v an image of the Crucifixion across the entire page and on f.159r image of the Imago Pietatis. The miniatures in the Missal fit within the general stylistic framework of Venetian painting at the beginning of the second half of the Trecento, which was founded on the heritage of Paolo Veneziano, which includes both echoes of Paolo's style and analogies indicating knowledge of Giotto's heritage. The Missal's miniatures show a more pronounced Gothic component, which is seen in the direct successsors to Paolo's heritage. Acording to archival data, Nicolo' di Cipriano de Blondis (Nikola Ciprijanov de Blondis) would be the most likely of Zadar's painters to be the illuminator.
