Sažetak
The calculation and estimation of greenhouse gas emissions in transport projects is becoming a primary target of transport companies because transport activity is responsible for 27, 6% of global energy use. The goal of this article was to analyse the impact of road traffic on air pollution on two intersections in the city of Zagreb and to estimate low carbon measures in Croatia within LOCSEE project. Using the example of two intersections and using the EMEPICORINAR methodology and for the calculation needs COPERT Ill, it has been concluded that it is possible to achieve energy and ecological efficiency more than 20% primary increasing the throughput capacity which was shown by computer simulation. Results obtained by computer simulation indicated significant reduction of the main pollutants (CO, NOx, SOx, NMOC, PM) by using telematic systems as well as improved throughput capacity of traffic flows even without their reconstruction. The main cause of climate change due to road transport is C02 emissions and numerous European cities have been undertaking activities to reduce GHG emissions. According to measures and data from LOCSEE (Low Carbon South East Europe) project in article has been estimated energy conservation measures with the context of the bottom -up model for Croatia for a period from 2010. to 2030.
