Sažetak
In this paper we analyzed political posters in parliamentary elections in Croatia from 2007 to 2015. Methods we used are on the trail of the previous works in the field of the visual rhetoric and argumentation. We interpreted the posters in their cultural context by defining who addresses the recipient and for what purpose. Most importantly, we analyzed which premises and conclusions are part of the political poster and for what audience it is intended. After setting the theoretical framework, we proved the dominance of contextual antonyms which are contributing to the creation of a bipartisan atmosphere. We concluded that political posters in Croatia reflect a divided worldview of the electorate, and visual (i)literacy of the political parties leaves the possibility of voting for the left or for the right option.
