Sažetak
The presentation approached the youth as a group that can be seen as in quest for social justice. Theoretical and empirical insights on the issues they face were extended by an analysis of dominant themes of publications on youth in Croatian academic journals since 2000. The vast majority of the papers were quantitative and researched specific topics instead of being exploratory and mapping all of the potential issues. The selection of topics reflects the two dominant approaches to youth - "youth as a resource" and "youth as a problem". It was therefore concluded that there is more space in academic work to "give voice to the youth". The presentation also touched on the youth policies of the European Union and the state of youth studies as pertaining to European youth.
