Sažetak
The paper explores the case study of International exhibition devoted to modern housing at 11th Milan Triennial 1957. It will focus on conceptualisation of „ideal home“ represented by settings from France, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Italy and Yugoslavia, as the only socialist country between them. By placing side by side different models, it illustrates the key aspects of the exhibition as a medium. It represented both the expression of the (self)awareness about the role of the domestic ideal in promoting cultural and political identity, economic and industrial production, as well as iconic codes and specific methods of performing the modernist cultural paradigm.
