Sažetak
IgA HLA antibodies may contribute to the transplant outcome but their role is not fully understood. Therefore, this study aimed to develop a Luminex based screening assay for IgA HLA antibody detection, explore their presence in groups of individuals with a different route of HLA alloantigen exposure and try to understand their role in kidney transplant outcome. Results show that the modified screening assay for IgA HLA antibody detection is sensitive and reliable and that the incidence of IgA HLA antibodies in alloantigen exposed individuals is low.
