Sažetak
This article examines the works of Masaji Iwakura (1903-2000), a proletarian novelist who grasped his own understanding of the Shinran religion and Marxism. Despite the generally accepted view that religion and Marxism totally conflict with each other, Iwakura believed that they rather complement each other and that when integrated, they help people acquire "the salvation" or "the truth". It was through his experience of "Anti- religious movements" that he was led to such an original view.
