Sažetak
The lecture will explore and point toward interplay in between museology and heritage studies going on right now, it will make arguments toward (sometimes still neglected) role of a museum communication (foremost through idea of a heritage interpretation), as well tackle advanced idea of a heritage literacy. Important trends in the museum sector will be examined by addressing global trends (ICOM-ICTOP activities) but as well through regional challenges coming out of the Zagreb museological school. How training (University based, but other forms too) for a museum professionals cope with challenges of a contemporary World, how they address relevant topics (which do centre toward communication) and how the field may remain pertinent will be addressed in the lecture.
