Sažetak
The purpose of this study was to perform the first behavioral genetic analysis of specific cognitive abilities in Croatian sample. The analysis was carried out on 71 MZ twin pairs (35 male and 36 female) and 78 dizygotic twin pairs (43 male and 35 female). The twins were tested with four tests which were designed to measure two factors of verbal abilities (word fluency and vocabulary) and two factors of spatial abilities (visualization and spatial orientation). For each of the test, substantional heritable variation was found. Univariate model fitting resulted with estimates of 63%, 49%, 52% and 61% for visualization, spatial orientation, word fluency and vocabulary, respectively.
