Sažetak
Relying on Dio's narrative, this paper discusses the similarities and differences between his account and the tradition of Roman historiography regarding this episode. Additionaly, it examines the way in which the authors' attitudes could influence his short report on the events that threatened Tiberius' power. The intention is both to sketch out a coherent picture of what shaped Dio's views, and to determine how this fits his general political agenda.
