Sažetak
African swine fever is a threat to the economic stability of countries that have positive cases of the disease. After entering EU it has spread throughout the eastern contries and still presents a threat of further spillover by contaminated swine products or directly by wild boars. Unfortunately, until today the disease is not under control and has not been eradicated from the countries where diagnosed. Measures are applied and some of them are introduced in Croatia regardless of no cases yet reported. One of them is active monitoring of wild boars.
