Sažetak
The object of simulation was visitor mine of the Technical museum Nikola Tesla (TMNT) in Zagreb. Main goals of the thesis were to cover mine ventilation basics and network analysis theory and to build airflow simulation model of the visitor mine. Field measurements were performed in order to establish fan characteristic curve and record the airflows for the verification of the simulation results. Required airway friction factors were estimated from various literature, considering wall surface characteristics and roof support system in corresponding headings. In the thesis, mine ventilation basics were covered, along with theoretical background needed for the analysis. Finally, airflow simulation was performed for different cases of ventilation doors position. The results showed satisfying correlation between measured and simulated airflows in the mine, and allowed for prediction of airflows in various situations.
