Sažetak
A short historical survey is given of the area of human locomotion study: an inter- and multi- disciplinary field where engineering and biology overlap. Contribution of engineering to this field is presented in biomechanical research methodology pursued and in approaches that serve to implement measurement of kinematic movement variables. Relevant data processing methods of kinematic information are discussed. Fields of application of human locomotion study are in medicine, sport science and kinesiology, and ergonomics.
