Sažetak
Zbornik Metafilozofija i pitanja znanstvene metodologije donosi izlaganja s istoimenog petog Okruglog stola nastavnika i studenata Odsjeka za filozofiju Filozof­ skog fakulteta te gostiju s drugih odsjekâ i institucija iz zemlje i inozemstva, održanog 7. prosinca 2019. Tematika petog okruglog stola koncipirana je kao radna teorij­ ska platforma oko toposa i nedoumicâ vezanih za status i narav filozofske metode koje predstavljaju izazov za filozofe od antičkih vremena. Možemo li tvrditi da je filozofija kroz svoj povijesni razvoj stvorila posebne metode i načine postupanja s obzirom na predmete istraživanja? Da bi odgovorila na takva pitanja, ‘filozofija filozofije’ ili ‘metafilozofija’ istražuje status filozofijskog diskursa, granice filozofije kao načina istraživanja uopće, pitanja epistemičkih, etičkih i drugih ciljeva filozofije. Filozofska zajednica uobičajeno drži da filozofija ima poseban status ili utemeljiteljski mandat, no upravo se to pokazalo kao predmet spora i polemike kroz povijest filozofije i teorija znanosti. Pritom građa metodološke polemike nije proizvedena samo kroz unutrašnja trenja i “obiteljske svađe” između filozofâ, nego i razvojem posebnih znanstvenih disciplina za koje se ponekad tvrdi da preuzimaju posao koji je ranije bio prepušten ekskluzivno filozofima. Učinak toga je širenje relevancije metafilozofskih pitanja preko granica same filozofije u područje metametodoloških refleksija znanosti u rasponu od humanističkih i društvenih do prirodnih tako da se problem interdisciplinarnosti u drugim znanostima može uzeti kao izdanak opće problematike metafilozofije.

The collection of papers Metaphilosophy and
Issues of Methodology
in the Sciences brings together contribu­ tions
to the Fifth Round
Table held at the Department of Philosophy on
December 7, 2019
under the same title, and uniting professors,
students and guests
from other departments of the Faculty, as well
as from other
institutions in Croatia and abroad.
The Fifth Round Table was conceived as a
working platform revolving
around topics and aporias related to the status
and nature of the
philosophical method, which have presented a
challenge for
philosophers since ancient times. Can we claim
that philosophy, in its
historical development, created peculiar
methods and procedures in
regard to their specific objects of
investigation? In order to answer
this question, ‘philosophy of philosophy’ or
metaphilosophy
endeavors to scrutinize the status of
philosophical discourse, the
limits of philosophy’s very mode of
exploration, as well as questions
about the epistemic, ethical and other aims of
philosophy. The
community of philosophers usually holds that
philosophy has a
peculiar status or a foundational mission, but
this has proved
questionable and worthy of polemics throughout
the history of
philosophy and theories of science. In those,
the material for
methodological polemics was not provided only
by inner tensions and
“family quarrels” among philosophers but also
by the development of
separate disciplines, considered sometimes as
taking over the job
that previously belonged exclusively to phi­
losophers. An effect of
this development is the increasing relevance of
metaphilosophical
issues across the borders of philosophy into
the realm of meta–
methodological reflections in various
disciplines ranging from the
humanities to the social and natural sciences,
so that the very
interdisciplinarity in other sciences might be
taken as an outcome of
metaphilosophy in general.
