Sažetak
The aim of the paper is to contribute to the discussion on various classifications of exonyms. Different categories of exonmys depending on the frequency of use have been introduced and supported by Croatian examples. The paper raises a few questions rather than answers them, one of which is when does an exonym become outdated and cease to be used in contemporary language.
