Sažetak
This paper presents the method for thermal destruction of wastes with high organic content by cofiring with conventional fuels in industrial boilers. Thermokinetic conditions are discussed, which need to be satisfied for prescribed destruction and removal efficiency ( 99.99%). The mode is described for ascertainment of boilers suitability for thermal destruction of wastes, based on the determination of furnace "temperature-retention time" profiles and their compatibility with destruction curves of given wastes. Basic regulations, associated with the combustion of hazardous wastes in industrial boilers, are also presented and secondary impacts, effecting the additional equipment, efficiency, maintenance, safety and environment are summarised.
