Sažetak
Systematic implementation of cleaner production in Croatia started four years ago through the joint project between the UNIDO and the Government of the Republic of Croatia. Results achieved so far by about 25 companies in a wide range from food processing to chemical industry, unambiguously demonstrate the concept’ ; s universality. Economic and environmental effects achieved to date can encourage every branch of industry, and the cosmetics industry as well, to develop its own Cleaner production programme, to increase production efficiency, improve its environmental performance and to achieve ability to compete on the world market.
