Sažetak
This paper tries to find an answer to which extent are the European values and their relevance for the development of the sound society known and understood in a proper way by the citizens of Croatia. The paper is based on recent public opinion surveys which focus on citizens’ perception of values achieved through European Union membership in Croatia, compared with the EU level. In this context the support for European project and Euroscepticism is discussed from the point of view of citizens, during the accession process and in the first five years of EU membership.
