Sažetak
On the occasion of marking 175 years of Opatija's park architecture and 70 years of continuous institutional maintenance of town public parks, the year-round project OPATIJA PARK 2020 was implemented, as part of which a new tourist product – thematic path named Opatija's necklace was designed. In addition to data on the OPATIJA PARK 2020 Project and general data on the historical development and common features of all ten urban green pearls connected in a single necklace, the book contains more detailed information on history, value, park-architectural buildings and a complete list of plant species in each of them, as well as an explanation of the leitmotif attached to it. The contribution of Parkovi d.o.o. to careful maintenance of the parks is also emphasized. and the Association of Camellia Lovers in the affirmation of the camellia as a symbol of Opatija.
