Sažetak
40 male patients with penetrating craniocerebral injuries were included in neuropsychological assessment l-38 months after the injury. In spite of the good neurological recovery, dysfunction of intellectual and mnestic abilities and verbal fluency were found. There were no significant differences in cognitive functions regarding age, education and time-interval after injury. The significant difference regarding the localisation of lesions was observed only in thinking, with the left lesions having worse results than right and bilateral lesions. Personality assessment indicated changes either of organic origin or moderate to severe neurotic tendencies and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSP). Significant differences were found in relation to some personality traits.
