The aim of this book, comprising 21 chapters, is to present a panoply of approaches and in this way taking stock of the present situation of cosmopolitanism, and its interconnectedness with human rights and migration. The purpose of this introduction is therefore to situate the theme conceptually and historically, to summarise the findings and suggest possible interrelations between the contributions.
