Sažetak
The Ottoman administration was established in Bosnia in 1463 and in Herzegovina in 1482. The Muslim people or members of the Islamic religion were at this time the dominant community in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The two other communities existed with them in this region: Serbs or the members of the Serbian Orthodox religion and Croats or the members of Roman Catholicism. All these three communities cultivated their religious and folk music. The topic of this presentation is limited to the folk music of the Muslim people only in Bosnia and Herzegovina at the time of the Ottoman administration with a special reference to the musical instruments. The aim of this paper is to present the interest of the Muslim people for the musical instruments which were brought to Bosnia and Herzegovina by Turks. Numerous sources from that period and about that period (as traveling books, sidûlis, presentations, etc.) provide us with the data on: 1. Types of music instruments used at that time ; 2. Ways of playing these musical instruments: 3. Constructors of musical instruments and some details of their instrument-making.
