Sažetak
Documenting cultural heritage is a professional challenge for the geodetic profession. It is also an opportunity to achieve maximum effects through a multidisciplinary approach with minimal time spent. Laser scanning is a contactless data collection method that can be used on buildings, their details, sculptures, and even mosaics and other objects that decorate the space. Documentation by scanning gives a true spatial representation that can be interpreted in many ways. Mines are special industrial buildings whose purpose ceases with the end of mine exploitation. The question is, is there a possibility to change the purpose of mine pit after ending the exploitation and enrich the tourist offer for the environment in which the exploitation took place. One such project is to document the Litija Sitarjevec mine in Slovenia, which is trying to get closer to tourists through EU funds. The preparation of the project implementation team, field scanning, exploration of the presentation capabilities for the collected data are the subject of this paper.
