Sažetak
We prove a compactness criteria for generalized Bochner spaces of type L2(0 ; T ; H(t)), where H(t) are Hilbert spaces, t 2 [0 ; T]. We consider a family of piece-wise constant functions in the t variable. Such functions usually appear as solutions to initial-boundary value PDE problems with discretized time derivatives (Rothe's method). This theorem is especially useful for moving boundary problems. We illustrate the theorem by applying it to some concrete examples that are motivated by applications: the Navier-Stokes equations in non-cylindrical domain, a nonlinear uid-elastic shell interaction problem with the slip and no-slip kinematic coupling conditions.
