Sažetak
We say that two elements x and y in a C^*-- algebra A are Roberts orthogonal if, for all complex numbers a, the elements x + a y and x - a y have the same norm. We investigate when an element x is Roberts orthogonal to the unit e and we obtain a characterization via the numerical range and the Davis--Wielandt shell of x. This is joint work with Ljiljana Arambašić and Rajna Rajić from the University of Zagreb
