Sažetak
The paper describes the principal features and performance of the conceptual design of a 130 passenger foil-assisted catamaran of a service speed of 40 knots. It also gives an overview of the conceptual study which includes the determination of operational requirements, optimization of hull configuration and determination of design, resistance, seakeeping, machinery and structure properties. The comparision with other advanced designs is made on the basis of transport efficiency. It is concluded that the proposed conceptual design is superior to other existing and comparable advanced designs for special design requirements.
