Sažetak
In the Republic of Croatia, at the end of the standardized and mandatory primary education that lasts 8 years, students decide in which direction they want to continue their education. There is a significant difference in regard to the amount of hours and classes related to Biology and other life science subjects, between medical secondary schools and nonmedical secondary schools. AIM: The aim of this paper was to compare the knowledge of adolescents about the menstrual cycle and hygiene, as well as to determine if there are differences in the knowledge of students in medical schools and other non-medical schools.
