Sažetak
The paper describes a methodology employed in the selection of ship propulsion system, and gives an example of such selection undertaken for Port Authority Craft BLK12. According to the selection criteria estabilshed in sections 2.5 and 7, and the obtained results summarised in table 7, it can be concluded that the application of BLK12 propulsion system with propellers, although gaining lower operational performance characteristics, has a slight advantage over the propulsion system with wateryets.
