Sažetak
In the metal forming process a tool and workpiece make direct contact. From the beginning to the end of metal forming there is a high value of contact of stresses and deformation force, which in certain cases may be a limiting factor in applayng this technology of plasticity and tools. Primary aim of the paper is to present the direct method of defining contact stresses and coefficient of friction. The method described shows that the normal contact pressure and specific frictional force can exactly be determined on the contact surface of tool and workpiece, which is significiant for the proper tool construction, stagnation time reduction in the working process and less tool and energy sonsumption. Registration parameters of the process of metal forming, with sufficient accuracy, have been measured by a system of digital and analog data recording processes.
