Sažetak
We have made 12 month follow up of cholesterol and trigliceride values in 94 women with osteoporosis and on raloxifen therapy. Women that were taking statin therapy were excluded. The age was 50–73 years, and 62% of patients was between 61 and 70 years. Age when our patients enter menopause was 38–56 years, (72% had menopause between 45 and 55 years). The lenght of menopause before reciving raloxifen was 1 to 27 years, (57% of them had period 1120years before raloxifen therapy). According to anamnesis, we find out that 80 patients (85, 1%) had poor phisical activity. We had 30 smokers (34, 1%) and 14 with hypertension (15%). All of them were treated with antihypertesive drugs. Values of cholesterol before raloxifen therapy was 4, 8–9, 63 mmol/L, averige 6, 78mmol/L. After 12 month of raloxifen therapy cholesterol values were 4, 35–7, 3 mmol/L, 6, 27% averige. Averige value of cholesterol was lowered from 6, 78 to 6, 27 that means 7, 5%. Values of triglicerides before therapy was 0, 15–3, 25 mmol/L and after 12 month of raloxifen therapy 0, 7–3, 00mmol/L. We had averige value of triglicerides of 2, 08 before therapy and 2, 01 mmol/ L after 12 month therapy of raloxifen and averige lowering was 3, 36%. We concluded that raloxifen can improve lipid parameters.
