Sažetak
The utilization and prescribing quakity of NSAIDs in Zagreb were assessed by calculating the number of DDDs from the number and size of packages of each prescription dispensed at 31 and 32 pharmacies during the years 2001 and 2002.The proportion of NSAIDs associated with high, medium and low risk of gastointestinal side effects, cost of each NSAID in DU 95% segment, and cost per DDD were calculated. The NSAIDs prescribing patterns was found to be in discrepancy with their relative GI toxicity.
