Sažetak
Retrobulbar tumours deeply situated in orbit are common problem for neurosurgical and ophtalmologic treatment. In last five years we use supraorbital keyhle approach following minimal invasive neurosurgery principles and it seem to be one of choice. Supraorbital craniotomy is 2, 5x2 cm and is performed throug eyebrow, with orbial roof opening and tumour removeing. In that way 44 patients were operated, among them 8 pediatric. According histologcal findings most of the leasons were haemangiomas, meningeomas, optic gliomas, metastatic tumours and limphomas. In all patients retrobulbar tumours were removed completly. In early postoperative recovery upper eyelid swelling were presented, as well as retrobulbar pain and ophtalmoparesis, which were disappeard after a few days. There was no CSF leak or other postoperative complications. Retrobulbar pathological mass without aggresive growth in suroundng tissue could be removed in toto with this approach. A great attention should be performed to keep anathomical structures intact to avoid postoperative complications.
