Sažetak
Sellar and parasellar region has always been the mutual interest for neurosurgeons and rhinologists because of the possibility to reach it in transcranial as well as transsphenoidal way. 201 tumours of this region have been operated in the last 5 years in the Departement of neurosurgery CHC Zagreb.We used transsphenoidal approach in 94 cases: 83 pituitary adenomas, 3 craniopharingeoams, 2 meningeomas, 1 aracnoid cyst and 5 other tumour like conditions.Very often we use endoscop for assistence because of : a) better visalisation, b) better localization , c)better identification residual tumour parts and d) cheking tumour bed after operation. The authors belive that endoscopic surgery may become future surgical technique for this region surgery especialy for pituitary surgery.
