Sažetak
One of recent innovations in the family of swarm intelligence metaheuristics is the firefly algorithm. It is inspired by nocturnal luminous insects called fireflies, more accurately by their mating and social behavior. Original Yang's algorithm was designed for unconstrained optimization problems. Because of its promising performance it was later successfully applied to a number of particular constrained optimization problems. In this paper we test the firefly algorithm on a set of standard benchmark functions for constrained optimization problems. This is important since testing only on particular problems can hide some algorithms deficiencies. Obtained results show that algorithm performs well, but needs slight adjustments.
