Sažetak
Subject of the following paper is the construction of a modern women's costume inspired by men's fashion in the 90's of the 20th century. The appearance and evolution of women's costume through history, from the end of the 19th century when the ideas about the need for a reform of women's fashion were firstly born, until modern time we live in were explored. Particular emphasis was placed on sociological access to fashion aimed at better understanding of the importance of cultural and political changes affecting development of women's costume. Through the aspect of men's fashion and men's suit collections, the 90s of the 20th century were then analyzed in order to understand the elements that would serve as inspiration for collection. In the experimental part development of collection of a modern women's costume was presented. The construction of pattern as well as one of the suggested models are shown.
