Sažetak
The relationship between periodontal and endodontic disease has been a subject of speculation for many years. The effects of pulpal disease on the periodontium is well documented, but reverse process known as retrograde pulpitis is not likely to happen until the periodontal disease has reached a terminal state, that is, when bacterial involvement is present in the apical area. The question remains at which point there is indication for endodontic treatment in the context of periodontal therapy. This case report deals with the role of endodontic therapy in the treatment of severe periodontal lesions.
