Sažetak
In this Letter we report a novel measurement of the magnetically induced birefringence (Cotton-Mouton effect) in krypton and xenon. The measurement is performed, with the apparatus of the PVLAS experiment.. at the previously uninvestigated wavelength of 1064 nm.
