Sažetak
Knowing how to manage and grow personal finances and taxes is the key to succeed, both in business and in personal life. The entrepreneurial skills are identified as an EU priority because of their impact on people’s economic, personal and social live, regardless of whether a person sees their future in their own business or not. The goal of the research is twofold: (1) to investigate if there is a relationship between student’s’ characteristics and perception of relevance for financial literacy education, and (2) to investigate if there is a relationship between student’s’ characteristics and perception of using actively financial knowledge in business and private life. In order to investigate research goals, the empirical survey has been conducted on the sample of nonbusiness students in Croatia. The research results showed that students are aware of the perceived need to be educated in finances as well the need to use this knowledge in everyday business and personal life.
