Sažetak
The objective of this study was to prepare the monolith catalysts composed of copper containing zeolite (Cu/ZSM-5) and commercial cordierite, and to test their catalytic activity in direct decomposition of nitrogen monoxide. Two-dimensional heterogeneous model (2D) of the monolith reactor was developed, including inter- and intraphase mass transfer and Langmuir-Hinshelwood surface reaction kinetics. Generally, good agreement between the experimental data and theoretical predictions has been achieved. It has been concluded that 2D heterogeneous model can successfully predict the behaviour of the catalytic monolith reactor.
