Sažetak
Abstract: The Late Avar cemetery at the Privlaka-Gole njive site was excavated during the 1970s: even though it has not been thoroughly examined, thus far it constitutes the largest Late Avar cemetery in Croatia with 230 excavated graves and three defined site boundaries. In 1980, a group a graves were found, among them a cavalryman’s grave and two more graves containing belt sets, with a spatial arrangement completely contrary to the cemetery’s central row of burials that also contained goods. This group includes a grave in which the deceased wore a belt set with complete set of mounts adorned with so-called “circus scenes”, noted for the first time in Croatia. This paper contains an analysis and cautious dating of this find.
