Sažetak
The subject of this paper is the impact of the virus as a serious health threat to national and global security. Health security issues can be considered as non-traditional national and global security challenges. This chapter examines these major threats to human health, particularly virus (Covid 19) and relates them to human security and to the global security situation. Case study (Italy) is included to show how governmental failure to respond effectively to health challenges can compromise national and global security. Finally, this chapter posits that multilateral collaboration is essential for sustainable global health security solutions.
