Sažetak
The paper present results of the analyses of total and methyl-Hg concentrations in some commercially important fish species:hake, red mullet and pandora from the nearshore areas and open waters of the eastern Adriatic.A comparison of obtained values with MPL, legally proposed in Croatia, showed that the Hg and MeHg in pandora from Split Channel and Kaštela Bay were twice the permissible levels. All the other species from all the other areas are out of the reach of anthropogenic pollution and may be used as human food.
