Sažetak
Goal of this paper is to provide performance analysis of photovoltaic based microgrid (PVMG). This is accomplished with energy management system (EMS) developed as Mixed Integer Linear Programming (MILP) problem evaluated on different case studies. Studied microgrid (MG) consists of PV system, load and battery storage system (BSS). Developed algorithm optimizes electricity flow in the MG by managing operational points of elements with the final goal of serving electricity demand at the lowest expense. Performance analysis of PVMG operation is performed for three study cases - passive consumer, prosumer and PVMG. Input data for the case studies represent 7 days of measurements of solar irradiance and ambient temperature for European humid-continental climate while load represents measurements of household electricity consumption in South- eastern Europe. Finally, sensitivity analysis of the impact of PV system array size and BSS capacity on operational profit of the PVMG operator (owner) for the scheduling horizon is carried out.
