Sažetak
Background. At the time of a rapid change and development in the field of e-learning, there is an increasing emphasis on implementing technology in training and educational processes. In the Republic of Croatia, the implementation of e- learning and technology in education is still in its early phase. During this changing period, it is important to determine the best methods of applying technology to improve regular classes.Aim. To determine attitudes of undergraduate and graduate nursing students in the Republic of Croatia on the impact that technology has on the educational process.Methods. Research was conducted on a national level using electronic form of semi-structured questionnaire.It consisted of respondents’ demographic data and thirteen statements. Participants rated the statements on a Likert-scale. Respondents were fully informed about the aim of the study and the data was collected anonymously. The data were statistically analyzed and results were shown as frequencies. Results. Out of 69 respondents that were included in the research, median age was 26 years. All of the respondents indicate that they own personal computer, tablet and mobile phone. 62% of the respondents statedthat the technology is important in education process. Furthermore, 67% indicated that they often use information and communication technology. 33% indicate that they do not use technology in high education.Conclusion. Our results have shown that there is a need for improvement of availability of digital equipment and e-learning in everyday educational process.
