Sažetak
The sliding friction power loss is a function of surface roughness, oil viscosity, force acting on the teeth, rotational speed and gear width, but also of the toothing geometry: module mn, teeth number z1 and z2, normal pressure angle an and gears centre distance a significant e.g. addendum modification coefficients x1 and x2 . The paper explains the dependence of the sliding friction losses on high transverse contact ratio (HCR)-gear geometry i.e. on tooth addendum, pressure angle and especially the addendum modification coefficients sum (x1 + x2) and its distribution on gears in mesh. It can be seen that an improper choice of the HCR-gear geometry causes significantly lower efficiencies. As the HCR-gearing has bigger power losses than a standard one of the same module and teeth number, a proper geometrical gear-design has an emphasized importance. However, possible smaller modules of the HCR-gears due to their bigger load capacity will result in decreasing of the sliding power losses and in partial compensation of inconvenient sliding conditions. A comparative analysis concerning sliding friction losses for standard and HCR-gears which are transmitting same torque and which have the same gear strength has been made. Recommendation for the use of the HCR-gearing will be given.
