Sažetak
To our knowledge, this is the first description of CX43 expression characteristics in surrounding mucosa of colorectal adenomatous polyps. We have found no significant difference of CX43 expression in epithelium of low and high grade adenomatous polyps. Despite this fact, frequent CX43 expression in observed surrounding mucosa of adenomatous polyps with high grade dysplasia and frequent lack of CX43 expression in surrounding mucosa of adenomatous polyps with low grade dysplasia, suggests there is a the role of CX43 in the progression of dysplasia in adenomatous polyps as well as in colorectal carcinogenesis.
