Sažetak
This paper presents concept and activities related to the application of the diagnostic system for planning operation and maintenance of railway vehicles. It offers the leading digital technologies that enable better access into the operational phenomena of specific subsystems/equipment on the vehicle, especially those that have been assessed as safety- critical. Monitoring these indicators allows the detection process, which would ultimately end up in failure and unplanned costs, caused by the sudden failure of a railway vehicle and its delays in service. The research is also focused on the Integrated Passenger Transport Systems (IPTS) as a part of diagnostic systems in railway vehicles.
