Sažetak
This research was carried out in order to promote high levels of professional skills, professional values, ethics, attitudes and to develop new challenges through the design of the degree within the requirement of the need to research. Thus, the purpose of this research is to demonstrate the need to increase the financial support of the research in order to promote the sustainability of the Coa Valley due to the pressure for change that come from several stakeholders and the limitations due to desertification, rural areas, globalization, advance in technology, societal changes, business new design strategies, personal principles and to answer to job market, in general, and to the students and professor’s needs of curriculum vitae, in particular. The research bodies all over the world demand for professors to research more and more each day and the other stakeholders encourage them to identify the most appropriate approach to learning and to develop for research skills, taking into consideration the national environment. A suitable methodology is likely to include a mixture of learning and development activities which combine structured learning programs and research experience. Indeed, professors experience play an important role in helping aspiring students to develop formal education within the new environment of innovation. Thus, methodologically, this research relies on two different frameworks. The second framework takes the case study of Portuguese national agency of research that has high level of responsibility due to the develop of the research in Portugal, that demands a profound knowledge, understanding and application of innovation of the context and the Portuguese reality. The results of this research allow us to conclude that the traditional advice that it is better to teach a man to fish, than giving a man a fish, could not be more true. Indeed, this research identifies a case study that details the importance of promote research of the world heritage of UNESCO of the Coa Valley that engagement students and professors to transfer to the society their knowledge, at internal level of the HEI, and to the society, in general, at external level. keywords: research, curriculum design, portugal, world heritage of unesco.
