Sažetak
The area of foreign direct investment is a very dynamic field, which came into focus recently as a consequance of globalization and the emergence of new economies, especially transition economies. Although numerous research has been undertaken in the 1950s and 1960s, an enormous increase in FDI flows to developing countries in the late 1980s and 1990s led to the renewal of interest for this subject, as well as attempts to formulate a consistent theory of FDI.
