EDITORIAL Dear participants of the 25th International Mediterranean Counseling Maintenance 2019, dear guests and friends, maintenance, engineering, experience, knowledge, lectures, meetings, exhibitions, networking, colleagues, friends, Mediterranean, Croatia, Cavtat are key words to point to the 25th HDO’s Counseling MeditMaint 2019 held in Dubrovnik, Hotel Croatia Cavtat, under the sign Maintenance is Development. In front of you is the Proceeding of the Counseling , which I am very proud of for several reasons. First and foremost, it is about the diversity and quality of works in the field of engineering, whether it is mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, civil engineering, IT, and of course economics, whose authors are renowned experts not only from Croatia but also from different countries around the world… From all this comes the mission of the Counseling: to highlight the importance of maintaining and managing assets through the exchange of knowledge and experience of engineers, experts, scientists, manufacturers and equipment maintenance personnel. Our wish is that the gathering and communication of experts and scientists from the field of maintenance and exhibition and presentation of the equipment manufacturers will stimulate new and useful topics in professional and research work related to maintenance and engineering in the broader sense, and it is up to you to evaluate and evaluate how much we have succeeded realize our mission. The Proceedings of this year’s Counseling is conceived in two chapters and includes: plenary lectures, a series of extremely interesting professional and scientific papers, commercial lectures, partner ads, sponsors and exhibitors conceived in two chapters. The first chapter of the Proceedings, includes three professional sections with eleven professional and scientific papers and several commercial presentations, combining topics related to the management of material assets and facilities, reliability, availability and convenience for maintaining, managing and organizing maintenance… In the second chapter there are complete works from the panel section, which is being held for the first time in our yearly counseling. It is eleven of the best professional or scientific papers signed by researchers, professors, mentors, PhD students and students whose posters are exposed briefly within the framework of counseling. The spread of visibility, the rejection of constraints and the persistence towards the future of Croatia and the Mediterranean constitute the platform of Counseling. The names of invited lecturers, such as Željko Uhlir, Marjan Pipenbaher, Franco Santini, Joško Ivankov and others, are best known about the counseling and exhibitions themselves. In addition to numerous lectures by local and foreign lecturers, it is worth mentioning also a very valuable workshop in the field of Asset Management, which was prepared by EFNMS experts: Mr. Kari Komonen and Me. Janež Tomažin, with the recommendation of “must-see and must have training”. I hope that the Program and Review Committee of the 25th International Mediterranean Counseling Maintenance 2019 with its selection of invited lectures, professional and scientific papers, as well as the panel section, provided interesting topics, new professional knowledge and experience and information as well as expanding horizons through new acquaintances and networking.
